Opalised Ammonite Fossil
Real opalised ammonite fossils! Some have become crystallised, creating small geode sections. These specimens have been cut in half, and you will receive a single half or matching pair depending on your preference.
The outer shell has an iridescent sheen and the inside has been polished to show the beautiful Fibonacci spiral inside. Ammonites first appeared 400 million years ago during the Devonian period, leaving behind these beautiful fossils after their extinction.
Every fossil is unique and so colours and size may vary from the photo. Colours range from light gold to a deep amber, and some may have several crystallised or dark stone segments. Please carefully check all photos for an idea of what the colours, segments and spirals could look like. If you have a preference for colour please let me know when checking out.
